Miller Family

Sometimes it seems near impossible to get the stars to align so a photo session can actually happen as planned. Discussion of doing pictures in an orchard with white blossoms of this beautiful family started clear back the first of March. Then, once it was close to the time the blossoms usually bloom, I started making trips to the orchard to check the progress of things. Well, this year was a tricky one weather wise, and because it was such a long cold winter, the blossoms ended up being about 3 weeks behind, so the session kept getting pushed back. After what felt like a bazillion trips to the orchard, I decided to try a different orchard that had gorgeous cherry trees in bloom. We booked our time, and then the day of the session a major, crazy, storm blew in and we had to reschedule for a few days later. The owner of the orchard assured me the blossoms would still be intact and looking beautiful on the new date. New date rolls around, and my poor client gets in a car accident, (not her fault), just a couple hours before the session. She was determined to make the photo session still happened so we pushed the time back by an hour to give her time to get things back on track. So I get the orchard, and yay, just as I suspected, the orchard I had in mind was done blooming and nothing but green leaves. The owners directed me to a different orchard that was a little different than what I had in mind, and we finally got to do pictures in an orchard with white blossoms :) That's the thing about outdoor photo sessions; ya gotta be flexible and just kind roll with the punches!

ELI & JULES

You might think that twin two year old toddlers would be a photographer's nightmare, but nope. I love getting to take these little one's portraits! I'm not going to pretend that getting them to hold still for two seconds and look at me with their adorable smiles is something that is easily accomplished; but they are just dang cute, that it is totally worth the challenge!
